According to the news conference of the 18th China International High-tech Fair (hereinafter referred to as the High-tech Fair), the 18th High-tech Fair will be held in Shenzhen from November 16 to 21 this year.

  Since its inception in 1999, the China High-tech Fair has held 17 consecutive sessions, and has now become the largest science and technology exhibition in China, known as "the first exhibition of science and technology in China".

  Chen Biao, Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the Organizing Committee of the High-tech Fair and Vice Mayor of Shenzhen City, said that the Fair focused on displaying advanced technologies and products in the fields of energy conservation and environmental protection, new generation of information technology, biology, high-end equipment manufacturing, new energy, new materials, new energy vehicles and so on. It has become an important window for China's opening up of high-tech fields and has promoted the commercialization of high-tech achievements and industries. Globalization, internationalization and the promotion of economic and technological exchanges and cooperation between countries and regions play an increasingly important role.

It is understood that this year's High Fair will be held in Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center and related branch venues. In addition to the national high-tech achievements exhibition, innovation and scientific research exhibition, specific areas include information technology and products, energy conservation and environmental protection, new energy, smart city, photoelectric display, Aerospace Science and technology, unmanned systems and other exhibitions, which will attract many large international enterprises such as Intel, Microsoft, IBM, Huawei, Samsung, Dell, Tencent, Lenovo to participate in the exhibition.

  Chen Biao revealed that as an important part of the High Fair, the overseas branch of the 2016 High Fair will enter Britain and Finland in late June and hold relevant economic and trade activities in Lithuania.

It is reported that the current high-level trade fair will present four new features. First, we will focus on showcasing major breakthroughs in frontier areas and the latest achievements in innovation and entrepreneurship. The second is to promote the industrial chain to high-end extension by quality, reflecting the connotation of quality-based development. Third, we should focus on coordinated development, build a platform for policy discussions and academic exchanges, and promote the docking between the government, enterprises, scientific research and the financial sector. The four is to highlight the open and win-win situation. We will create a "one belt and one way" special hall, strengthen exchanges and innovation between young and young people in Shenzhen and Hong Kong, and expand exchanges and cooperation with Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan in the field of science and technology.

  The China High Trade Fair is jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Intellectual Property Office, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Shenzhen People's Government, and is held in Shenzhen every year.
